Richards House Railing One

On an earlier post (Where do IDEAS come from?) I had described the design aspects of the current Richards House project in Toronto. The first of the hand rails was installed on Saturday. Comparing the design rough with the finished metal gives you some idea how in my work, there is almost always a translation between concept and execution. For me, part of the 'art' lies in appreciating and integrating the shapes as they develop, rather than slavishly copying a blueprint.
