In April in 2011 I was able to deliver a version of the '
Archaeology
& Experiment' program - at Brown University. This was thanks largely
to the interest of my friend, colleague and sometime mentor
Kevin Smith
of Brown's Haffenreffer Museum of Anthropology. The program was organized in
association with
Krysta Ryzewski, who was teaching a course
on the Archaeology of Materials.
The full written report on this experience is now (finally) available!
There are considerably more photographs included than a normal, as the report covers not only the progress of the smelt, but also the teaching experience.
